Terms and conditions
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sumify for using the app. By signing in, you agree to them. If you use Sumify for a shop, you agree for the shop too.
What Sumify is
A web app for small businesses to make bills (with GST or without), keep their stock, customers, suppliers, payments and expenses, and see reports. It runs in a web browser, on a phone or a computer.
Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and its messages to yourself: whoever has them can open your account.
- The details you give must be true, and you must be at least 18.
- A shop's owner decides who works in it and what each employee may do, and is responsible for what they enter.
Plans and payments
- Sumify has a free plan, and paid plans with more room. What each plan includes and costs is on sumify.in and on the Plan page in the app.
- A new shop may have a paid plan free for its first days, as the prices say.
- A paid plan is paid for a year at a time, with GST added. You get a GST invoice for every payment.
- When a paid year ends and is not renewed, the shop goes on with the free plan and its limits, after a few days of grace. Nothing you entered is deleted.
- Prices may change for the years to come; a year you have paid for keeps its price.
- If you think you were charged wrongly, contact us and we will look into it.
Your data
- What you enter is yours. You let us keep and process it only to run Sumify for you, as the privacy policy says.
- You are responsible for your bills, your tax returns and your GST filings. Sumify helps you keep them, but it is not tax or legal advice: check with your accountant where in doubt.
- Ask us, and we will give you your shop's data as a file, or delete the shop.
Fair use
Do not use Sumify to break the law, to make false bills or invoices, to send people messages they did not ask for, or to harm the app or other people's data (for example by trying to get into accounts that are not yours, or by loading the servers on purpose). Send a bill's link only to the customer it is for.
Referral codes
Where referral codes are offered, a code and what it gives are as the app shows them at the time. A code is for a shop's first paid plan only, and no shop can use its own. Commissions, where offered, are paid by us outside the app.
Our part
- We work to keep Sumify running and your data safe, and we keep backup copies. Still, the service is given as it is: we cannot promise that it will never stop, never have a mistake, or always suit your needs.
- We may improve, change or remove features. If we ever stop Sumify, we will tell you in advance and give you time to take your data.
- Our support team may open your shop's account to help you or to keep the service working, as the privacy policy says.
Stopping, and leaving
- You can stop using Sumify at any time, and ask us to delete your shop.
- We may switch off a shop that breaks these terms, does not pay for a plan it uses, or that the law requires us to stop. Where we can, we will tell you first.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses you suffer indirectly (for example lost profit or business) from using Sumify or from not being able to use it, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us for Sumify in the twelve months before.
Law
These terms are under the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of India.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The new terms are put here with their date; if a change matters, the app will also tell you. Using Sumify after a change means you agree to the new terms.
